An opportunity for your 3-to 6-year-old child to play quietly with other children prior to the start of the school day.
After Hours Program (2:45 – 5:30 p.m. daily)
A blend of Montessori philosophy and relaxed play with plenty of time outside. Students also enjoy themed activities, arts & crafts, baking and gardening. (Additional after-school programming such as soccer, African drumming, piano, cooking classes are outlined under Enrichment Programs.)
Primary Summer Program
MSS primary students can enjoy spending time in a familiar and caring environment during our Summer Program. This program operates immediately after the school year ends, and is available to children who are currently enrolled in the primary classroom (3-6 years old) at the Montessori School of Syracuse.
Throughout the day, students will enjoy learning and playing through music, art, literature, games, cooking experiences, and outdoor adventures. Program hours are 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.
Elementary Summer Program: Land Lab Outdoor Adventure
What better way for MSS elementary students to start summer vacation than with a Land Lab Outdoor Adventure? Designed by our Nature Education staff, this camp integrates fun and learning in a safe, outdoor environment. This program operates immediately after the school year ends, and is available to children who are currently enrolled in the elementary classrooms (1-6th grade) at the Montessori School of Syracuse.
This unique program helps students develop a respect for nature, observation skills, and outdoor skills that will last a lifetime. The Land Lab Outdoor Adventure incorporates the study of science and nature; hands-on wood-working activities both in the field and the wood-working shop; and an opportunity for students to showcase the natural treasures they find during the week. Program hours are 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with optional After Hours care on the MSS campus.
