What is the Annual Fund?
· The MSS Annual Fund is a true difference maker at Montessori, providing critical funds for our children.
· Every dollar contributed helps close the gap between what families pay in tuition and the actual cost of educating our children and enhances their educational experience.
· Each year parents, grandparents, alumni, staff, and other friends of MSS contribute generously. All our children benefit directly from those gifts, year after year.
· Participation in the Annual Fund serves as an objective measure of the strength of our school. High participation is an important indicator of community commitment that foundations, charitable organizations, and legislators use when evaluating schools and awarding grants.
A Message from our Annual Fund Co-Chairs
I graduated from MSS nine years ago and am now a double major in Public Relations and Marketing at the Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse University. My sister, Heidi, recently graduated from Georgetown and my brother, Dustin, graduated from Villanova. They, too, are MSS graduates. All three of us agree that our academic and professional lives are rich because of our early years at MSS. This is why I am co-chairing the MSS Annual Fund. This year, as in all years, we are asking you to support MSS by making as generous a donation as you can, so all the current students at our school continue to receive the best education available in Central New York.
MSS is at the top of our list of charitable giving because the school has done such a wonderful job educating and providing a community for our two boys, Alex, who is now a sophomore at CBA, and Max, who is a 6th grader at MSS. We found that the Montessori “love of learning” philosophy is real — our boys have always loved school, and Alex continues to be on the honor roll at CBA. I have volunteered to chair the MSS Annual Fund this year because I think Central New York needs our school as an alternative educational approach for our young learners. A donation to the Annual Fund is a donation to the school and to our children, the leaders of tomorrow.
